Start Promoting!
- DIY Promotion for Tourism |
Rather than pay Snowgoose or other Internet
companies a lot of money to register you and get
your Web site listed on other sites, here is an opportunity
to do it for yourself. Or you can
try here for one of the better online self-promotion websites. |
Before you start
You need to carry out a Health
Check on your web site. If you dive right in with a
half-finished site you can do more harm than good. |
Get Listed!
The more you are listed on other sites, with links to your
own site, the more the search engines will know you are
there and more web users will come across your name. So it is
important for your business to be listed on other sites, with
a link through to your own web site. For a good list of accommodation-related
web sites, look at our accommodation
directories.
It is also important to have links from your own
site to other relevant sites of interest, see our adding
links page. |
Free
Links and Listings!
To get you started, below is a list of accommodation sites
(and in some cases attractions and other types of tourism businesses)
which are free to register and be listed with. Some allow
a FREE WEB LINK from their site to yours. |
Click on each web site link below to look at their main site.
Click on the (promote)
link next to a site name then follow the instructions on how
to get listed.

Once you have tested the water with the free sites
you will feel ready to try out the 'big boys' on our accommodation
directories page. They usually charge for listings
and links but, because they are often bigger and may have wider
exposure than those above, they can reap greater dividends.
