The popular position checkers listed below allow you to quickly discover how your site ranks for different terms.

WebPosition Gold Allows you to check page rankings at the major search engines from the desktop, plus create and submit optimized web pages. A trial version is available for evaluation. A review is available to site subscribers, in the Toolbox section of the Subscribers Only area.

TopDog Search Engine Analyzer/Submitter Allows you to check page rankings over 200 search engines across the globe, plus submit to over 125 of them.

PositionAgent Free service allows position checking at major search engines with online display of results. Paid service allows regular monitoring of five domain- keyword combinations. Extensive, detailed reports can be viewed online or delivered via e-mail.

ScoreCheck Free service allows position checking of up to two domains, with results delivered via e-mail. Paid service offers an expanded monitoring service and online reports.

InterNetGain Free service checks positions on one of several search engines. The paid service reports on both positions and count of keywords in the title, meta tags and body text of top ranked web pages. It also provides a checklist of deficiencies and corrective actions after analyzing page content. Results are delivered online.

The Informant Free service that allows you to monitor up to three keyword phrases on either Alta Vista, Excite, Infoseek or Lycos at regular intervals. You can only monitor one engine at a time. The top 10 pages for each keyword are listed in an online report. E-mail notifies you if there is a new report ready.
