Northumbria Tourist Board currently has 1400 Members, including a wide range of tourism businesses - accommodation providers, places to visit, restaurants, tour guides, transport services, and specialist businesses providing services to the tourism industry.
Benefits of joining Northumbria Tourist Board include adverts in the Northumbria Tourist Board annual holiday guide, listings on the web site and many exclusive Membership opportunities, events and loyalty offers.
There are also additional advertising opportunities which Members can exclusively take advantage of, such as enhanced advertising in the Northumbria Holiday Guide and on the web site.
Their Business Services section is aimed at businesses that can offer a specialist service to Northumbria Tourist Board Members.
All Business Services members are listed in the Business Services Directory which is available to all Members.

Internet Prices

Basic Free Page You must be a member before you get a basic free page on the Visit Northumbria web site. Not only will you be listed here, you will also get a free listing on the VisitBritain (British Tourist Authority) and TravelEngland (English Tourism Council) sites (your entry goes onto a central database which is used by both of these sites). All three sites will include a free link to your own web site and your e-mail address.
NOTE: Certain other sites throughout the region also use the VisitBritain search facility for accommodation - Northumberland County Council, Newcastle City Council, Durham County Council and Tynedale Council, so your same listing will also appear on these sites.

Enhanced Web Pages If you are an accommodation business, attraction or event you can have a brochure-style entry instead. Includes graphics, maps, pictures and live links. Price is £80 plus VAT. Again, this will list your enhanced entry on all the sites listed above. If you only want an enhanced web page with Visit Northumbria, the cost is £55 plus VAT. Discounts apply if you are registering more than one property.

Good value for money!

If you don't plan to have your own web site the Tourist Board will give you a so-called "web site address", but only if you pay for an enhanced web page. The format is: www.yourname.ntb.org.uk. You can use it on all your printed literature and for all your marketing/advertising.

SNOWGOOSE COMMENT: It's far better to get your own web site and web site address if you're serious - we think it's madness not to.
